Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

A classic in the USA, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich or simply PB&J. I eat it before training or with a coffee in the mornings. The healthiest way is to make your own jam and peanut butter. I make neutral peanut butter, without sugar, so I can use it in other preparations, plus the sweetness of the jam is enough.

For the Mantequilla de maní

200 g maní tostado

10 ml aceite de oliva (opcional)

30 ml de agua (opcional)

For the Mermelada de fresa

250 g fresas

150 g azúcar

15 ml jugo de limón

200 g roasted peanuts

10 ml olive oil (optional)

30 ml water (optional)

For the For the strawberry jam

250 g strawberries

150 g sugar

15 ml lemon juice

Step 1

For the Mantequilla de maní

Step 1

En un bowl mezclar el maní con el aceite de oliva, agregarlo en una placa y hornearlo a 180c x 5 min aprox, hasta que este bien dorado, si lo quemas quedará amargo.

For the Mermelada de fresa

Step 1

Picar la fresca en láminas y agregar los demás ingredientes, cocinar tapado aprox media hora hasta que esté brilloso y con la textura adecuada

In a bowl, mix the peanuts with the olive oil, place it on a tray and bake at 180c for about 5 minutes, until it is well browned. If you burn it, it will be bitter.

Step 2

For the Strawberry Jam

Step 1

Slice the strawberries and add the other ingredients, cook covered for about half an hour until it is shiny and has the right texture.
